Vanita Vishram Girls’ High School
In 1961, Sir Vitthaldas Damodar Thakersy school was established with 66 girls. The first principal of the school was late Rashmikaben Desai. Initially the classes were operational in the building of Vanita Vishram. As the fame of imparting education in vanita vishram started increasing, the division of the classes too multiplied.In march 1965 school first batch gave S.S.C exam. Shrimati Prabhaben Mehta served as a principal from June 1969 to June 1971.

Vanita Vishram is a century-old non-profit organization whose activities are planned and designed to fulfill the mission of the founders, viz., to ensure upliftment and self-reliance of women in our society. Founded in the year 1907 by Late Smt. Shivgauriben Gajjar and Late Smt. Bajigauriben Munshi, Vanita Vishram has always been striving hard to fulfill the mission and vision of its founders.
